The Polaris cap lamp is the ultimate cap lamp for underground mining and tunneling operations. The Polaris cap lamp uses a high-capacity lithium ion battery and an LED light source that is protected in high-impact dust and water resistant plastic. The cordless Polaris cap lamp is the first to be MSHA-approved. It combines the battery and light sources in one enclosure, getting rid of the need for an external battery pack and cord. Incorporating two light sources in addition to an emergency flashing beacon mode, the main light output ranges from a minimum of 5,000 LUX, to a typical 6,500 LUX.
